The factory radio in my 69 charger doesn't work.  I think it may have been fried due to some issues with my fuses(which have been corrected)  Is there a way that I can splice a headphone jack into the wiring of the radio in order to listen to my mp3 player?
DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!

Not sure what you mean?  I thought my radio was fried and it was the speaker.  By pulling out the glove box you can reach the speaker wires.  Under the dash you can reach the power wire plug.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

You could splice the wires in and it would work if the MP3 player has enough wattage so you can actually hear it.

And IF it worked the question would be for how long.

Just go buy some crappy amp to power the speakers. (assuming your radio doesnt work at all)

Something like this..........

And as far as that rediscover radio thing.............

Thats just a modulator. And not worth $100 and whatever dollars.

Do a search for Inline AM or FM modulator.

The FM ones are about $20 bucks, but the AM version might be more tricky.

Good luck   :)

or send your old radio out and have modern guts put in it.  Stock look, modern sound and features. :Twocents:

this subject is somewhere on this site but i'm too lazy to search for it right now.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I have not tried him yet but I have this in mind when I fix my radio.

Shakey

I had my '69 AM radio restored and coverted to AM/FM and they installed an AUX jack for my mp3 player.

www - turnswitch . com or something like that.

You might want to check this demonstration video on the RediRad product before you condemn it.

here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-uznlSY59U

...the video is low-buck and the fist 10 or so seconds has the sound muted, but WATCH IT... It is UNLIKE anything else out there.

The FM ones are pieces of crap at any price and for the Dodge Man who wants to preserve the integrity of the dash board by keeping his original radio, there is NO OTHER AM-based solution.

I agree that most FM modulators are junk especially if you live in the city.

However I did have one that cut the Antenna once it saw audio signal.

That one was great and I think I paid $40.

This is one I found real quick online........

$30

Many other options to pick from.

As far as AM I have no clue and didnt look.
