DOES A 727 COME ONLY IN ONE LENGTH ?

I BOUGHT A 70 440 AND TRANS , THE TRANS TAIL SHAFT LOOKS LONG TO ME , THIS ENGINE MIGHT BE OUT OF A WAGON AND I HAVE NOT HAD AN AUTO TRANS FOR 20 YEARS IN A MOPAR . SIMPY PUT , DID THEY MAKE DIFFERENT LENGHT TAIL SECTIONS ??

There is a long and a short but the short is generally found in trucks.  It should be just over 34 inches long overall not including the yoke.
