Progress being made on Big Willie 440 Daytona

Formely owned by Gary French car got sold for $$$$$$$$$$$$$ And it was suppose to be in NJ .Coincedently is where it sold new from Cherry Hill Dodge.And read on moparts by Dayclona somework is being done

Also, what is the current status of Big Willie's car? I was thinking it was for sale a while back.



Haven't heard much on the Big Willie car since it sold, but I think it's still in the same condition. (quote)







Hi Doug,......The "Big Willie" Tona' is down at Jack McGaugheys.......Jack did a wonderful job of fabbing a new steel nose and valance for the car......I supplied a set of my steel repro Z-bars for the nosecone,.....Jack also attented to other issuses on the car,........looks Great!

I don't know if Jack is going to do the finish work on it, or if it's going "out" for final restoration......I'm sure it will make a debut soon?

I just noticed the taillights on the Queen Daytona for the first time.

They look like wire mesh dont they?

So what are the round lights on the tail panel?

I'm guessing those are the replacement taillights since the car is still plated.

I guess those 2 round brake lights are less weight on this Queen daytona .Compared to 2 full size 69 charger tail lights
Seems to be no rear bumper or reverse lights.And some wording painted across the trunk edge

And the mesh is to allow high pressure air from under the car to escape??

i know the current owner of the car . i have him on speed dial on my cell phone. his name is Don . seams like a real nice guy. he lives about a mile from here . i'll let you guys know when the car gets back to nj . Rene
