Finally solved the engine stalling / vapor locking problems, here's what we did:

1. Fuel Line (from gas tank) to the
2. Electric Fuel Pump to the
3. Gas Cooler/Radiator to the
4. (installed a Gas Cooler/Radiator infront of the AC)
5. Fuel Filter to the
6. Fuel Pressure Regulator (set at 3psi) to the
7. Fuel Pressure Gauge (reads 4psi running) to the
8. Edlebrock 4bbl 600cfm Carb (insulated to keep from overheating)

Good god man!  Are you kidding me?!?!

WTF kind of rolling fire-bomb did you create?  Please for your own safety take all that rubber hose out of the engine compartment!!!  Imagine the tinfoil coated line bursts right onto the exh manifold..... :rotz:
Did you actually use a trans cooler to run gas through?

Man!!! Where do you live? Arizona? I do not what kind of problems you have had but I suspect what you are doing here is covering up another problem.  :Twocents: Get rid of the rubber! I would run fuel pressure closer to 6psi at the carb. Get a better fuel regulator, that type is not very good. Look at the plugs to get an idea of the fuel mixture.
(Maybe to lean) Retarded cam timing, vacuum leak, or something is causing the engine to over heat. Do some investigative work and figure out the real problem. Just my opinion, but all that stuff should not be necessary.
Good luck Kyle.

Yes... it will be called the General Ghost Rider Lee...

:yesnod: Yes and it seems to work perfect.

Seriously get all that rubber out of there. Thats a death trap waiting to happen. Theres probably a underlying problem which is causing the vapor lock. Id start by running metal lines and covering THOSE with some shielding if need be.

:rotz:  I may be wrong but aren't Eddy carbs prone to this type of heating fuel problems ?  You are a braver man than I.   :rotz:

I hope this science experiment was just temporary. Time to make it right and make it safe.

Just how many clamps DID you use on this??

Joey, here's the reason you were vaporlocking : fuel lines should not be zip tied to heater hoses.  :rotz:

Ps. That ghetto fuel system you rigged up is an accident waiting to happen.  :P

I would just do a metal line from the fuel pump along the side of the valve cover (by the intake) then if need be a small rubber hose from that line to your carb.

LOL yeah we already corrected that mistake by dropping the heater hoses down (fuel line is now zip tied to the AC line):

Man,
All I had was a 3 inch piece of good fuel injection rubber hose going from my carb to the fuel filter and my line had a small leak that caught fire from a small crack in a bad plug wire and I am still paying the price for the fire I had. :icon_smile_angry: :flame:
Man, fix that set up.
That is a diseater waiting to happen, trust me. The smallest fire can cause huge damage under that hood. :Twocents:
