Ok, I know this is for a challenger but I figured it would be the same for any engine on a charger as well so here it goes.  Dad just got a new trans kickdown linkage for the carb stud.  The one on the car had a broken end piece which was not allowing the carb to make the trans kick down into passing gear.  My question is, what color was the linkage assembly originally?  The part came zinc cad plated.  Was the whole linkage assembly this color or was it assembled on the engine while the engine was painted?  If anyone has any pics of a detailed 340 or 318 for a 70 challenger, it would be greatly appreciated as we are in the process or sprucing up the engine compartment over the winter.

Thanks,

Brian
