ok..so I currently have this:

Dana 60, girdled, stock driveshaft with all new joints/bearings, stock 3.54 gears, stock axles, fresh SS springs and Caltracs  a rear sway bar and ssbc rear disc brakes.

car is a 4-speed

I am thinking at some point in the near future I should put in 'better' gears and axles etc. my orientation is street performance and brutal bullet proof strength.

any opinions as to the 'best' rear diff stuff/vendors/axles that would be 'bolt-in' to my current setup?

Frank, the stock (Dana) stuff is pretty tough to break. With a mild 500hp 440 running street tires you won't break it....the problems arise when racing with slicks, dead hooking and 5000 rpm launches.  :naughty:

When i had mine built it was an empty Ford truck housing so i needed axles anyway and went with the Strange SS 35 spline street/strip axles but the side gears on the Suregrip unit had to be upgraded to match the 35 spline axles. The ring and pinion are stock spicer parts....i have no worries.  ;)

At some point when the big stroker gets built i will have to upgrade the trac-loc suregrip to a Detroit locker but the rest of the rear end parts will remain.  :yesnod:

Inmo, you're not at the power level (yet) to be concerned with upgrades.  :Twocents:

When Ron builds the BIG STROKER he's gonna need a SPOOL and some SLICKS... Then someplace to store all the nice interior and his heater box.....  :D    :nana:    ;)
