Im getting ready to start painting my 69 Charger. Im making into a "Dirty Marry, Crazy Larry" Charger. I know the color is citron yellow but I can't find it online. I priced the citron yellow at a local paint store and was about $400 a gallon with reducer, and hardener. I found a paint kit for about $110 online.
Im partially color blind so Im not good at matching colors. Can anyone here post opinions of what color they think is close to Citron Yellow?

Here is a link to the color selection.

The sublime (1602) looks a lot like it.   Colors change though in person than on the computer.   I'd try and get hold of model maker.  He had a dmcl charger. :Twocents:

He was on two days ago.

This should help you with Curious Yellow (aka Citron Yella):
http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?type=paint&paint=13696&ditzler=2320&syear=1971&smanuf=Chrysler&smodel=Plymouth&sname=Curious%20Yellow

Your local auto body supply store should be able to cross-reference those numbers to get you a formula for them to mix it.
Depending on the brand of paint, $400 with reducer is probably about right for a high-end paint. If you have doubts, best thing to do is buy small quantities if possible & lay out some test panels. You'll be very surprised with the difference in color.

BTW, 1602 Sublime is a COMPLETELY, totally different color than Curious Yellow. Do not use it unless you want a green Charger.

The site you linked will mix Y3 in their cheaper line. Its under the auto color library menu. 155 bucks for a gallon of SS Urethane. You can pic acrylic enamel, urethane, base coat or even lacquer if you wanted it.
