That's pretty incredible.

Whoever hit that car must have been really moving.  I can't imagine doing that to an early Camaro with any reasoable impact speed.  Probably not much less than 50-60 mph into a stationary car.

Lookit the rear quarter skin above the RR wheel.  It looks like the panel skin was literally ripped in half, almost like the way you'd tear a sheet of paper down the middle.

Hemidog

If anyone survived that crash, they sure are lucky!

Well it appears that there is a large SUV in the corner of the picture and the possible driver of it in the picture because I highly doubt the driver of the Camaro would be standing there that calmly after that. Now I am not pointing the finger at anyone or am I? :D

Come to think of it I wonder if there was anyone actually in the Camaro at all.

I don't think it's very likely that anyone in the Camaro could have just climbed out on their own after a hit like that.  But if the driver was still in the car when the paramedics arrived, they probably would have jaws'd the entire roof off the car first thing.

Can anyone identify the white vehicle from the little bit that shows?  Could the young girl be involved?  I can't imagine them allowing just anybody to hang around the accident scene.

A first, it looked like a movie scene but the picture came from a local newspaper site in the US.

If you look real closely you can see the glass from the drivers door sticking up so I am guessing that the door could have been blown open upon at impact.

The Camaro almost looks driveable. The wheels and tires still look reasonably intact...hmmm...

My first guess is that the white car looked like a Camry...friggin' thing must've been armored though...

I like the "it'll buff out" crack...classic.  :smilielol:

I think that white car has allot more damage than it seems, the front wheel looks like it's no longer a 90 degree angle with the ground!  :rotz:

th
I'm in agreement with "Big Red" The white car appears to be a Camry. I would think there was someone driving the Camaro  as some impact debris is between the two cars indicating the collision was in that lane. My guess is the Camaro got crossed up and entered the Camry's path, their traveling speed must have been  relatively close to the same for an impact of that magnitude to result in the cars ending up so close together.  :scratchchin:
If the Camaro was parked and got hit that hard by the Camry, it would have jettisoned the Camaro  a lot farther down the road away from the Camry. Just my conjecture.  :Twocents:

Ghoste

Someone racing dads Camry against someone who wasn't going to let that late model ricer beat him maybe?

Mike DC

It could have been a crossed up Camaro.  Or it could have been the Camaro was making a left turn and got whacked in a similiar way.
