'68 B-body leaf spring hangers

Hey gang..
Does anyone else with a '68 B-body have similar hangers? These are the original ones off my '68 Hemi Charger R/T. I never noticed this until I went to rebuild them this pst week, but one, the passenger side, had two holes.. One on the back next to the attach studs and the other one on the side...

My '69 Charger 500 doesn't have it nor does my '70 Charger R/T...

I'll be drilling the holes out to get even closer in appearance...

My '68 (plain jane 318 car) has the holes in the passenger hanger like yours . . .

My 67 383 car has them as well.  How early is the build on the two 68's, could it be a left over 67 thing?  (only 67 I have so I can't by any stretch even imply that all 67's had them)
