Is it me or is this about the dumbest answer to a FAQ ever?

From the Chicago Pneumatic website FAQ http://www.chicagopneumatic.com/content.aspx?pageid=173:

"Where can I find my local distributor, and why is it not listed on your website?

We respect the privacy rights of our distributors. Please contact your CP Area Manager or Customer Service Specialist."

WTF? "The privacy rights of our distributors?" Isn't the purpose of a tool distributor to distribute tools? I'm not asking for these people's home address or private telephone number, I want information on how to contact them at work so I can buy a friggin' tool! Unbelievable! Am I missing something here?

And then they give you no way to contact "your CP Area Manager or Customer Service Specialist" unless you call them between 8 and 5 EST, Monday thru Friday :rotz: :brickwall:

Harbor Freight sells their crap. Had a craftsman air drill for 15 years and it finally shot craps. Tried to drill out my trunk pan holes and didn't make one hole with a Chicago....got another....didn't make the first hole again. Took it back and used my electric Craftsman and did them all.

I know I won't be looking for a CP in the future. Thanks for the heads up. :2thumbs:

I think you mean Central Pneumatic. Chicago Pneumatic is its own brand.

What about Ingersoll Rand? I know all the top brands claim to be the best but I've heard a lot more praise for IR than I have for CP, but CP is a lot less $$$. Still, this BS makes me want to avoid CP at all costs.
