GREAT JOB!!! for those who doesn't know about Guernica, is a small town just right in the hearth of Basque provinces in Spain. This small town got the first air bombing in the history during Spanish civil war. War what it was the first test to the WWII by the German Army, for a while they were helping  Franco to take the power in Spain. Lot of Junkers Ju88 bombers used on that battle.

Picasso made this Paint in rememorance of this battle

Thanks for posting this, Nacho!

One of my favorite books is "Picasso's War" by Russell Martin.  Guernica is one of my favorite paintings and the book centers on the history behind it.  I highly recommend it if anyone is interested.

I'm not a big fan of Picasso's art, but I'm agree is a great part of the world art history. My dad born in Malaga, close to Picasso's home, where he also was born. My dad's side of family still lives there in Malaga.

My Dad's family was victim of the civil war. My Grandpa ( RIP 4 years ago ) did fight on the civil war being airplane pilot of the Republican side. He had to bomb its own city, with family there. Then when war ended, my grandpa went to prision and were at one hour to be killed at the wall... BUT another family member who was at the winer side of the war what it was politician, saved him, but had to keep him on prision. When he left prision, they moved to Venezuela, where I was born.

That's at least the history has been told to me.

Sorry, is a little bit OFF TOPIC of my own thread LOL... but just talking about :P
