Car looks great.

Did you get the broadcast sheet for it yet? Looking forward to seeing the car at Talladega in '09

hergfest

Yep, he sent it to me a couple months ago.  Thanks for brokering that for me.  Still has a few bugs to work out, Vegas 09 will be its inaugural cruise.

Hey Gary.

Was that 500 still in a body shop across the street from a "Jack in the Box" when you bought it?  I forgot to ask you at Graham, never got a chance to get whoever I was talking to, to shut up so I could talk to ya'.

I always kicked myself for not pursuing that car.  Your scenario was exactly what I was after except my '70 was optioned out a little more close to the '69 than ya'lls.  Just couldn't get my wife to sign off on it.  They wanted $12k for the car and the same for the motor back then, long time ago.  IIRC.  I had just bought my '70 for $14k so money was tight.

Neat shots, the blue & white of the boats ties in with the cars.  :2thumbs:

Ya, it was in Meridian, ID.  We had been there a few times before and he always said the car was for sale, the price went up everytime we went there.  He had told me a price on the way to Vegas and I had money waiting when I went back.  Still took us almost an hour to convince him to sell it.

Yeah he has it made, with a C500 and an R/T, but not as nicely as you have it though with a Daytona.  :2thumbs: man I wan't one of those so badly I can almost taste it.

The 70 is a six pack car too.  Took the pics across the street from Rocket Restorations in Olympia, WA, they did the motor work.
And on another note, the 500 was originally sold at Dodge Town in Sandy, UT.  If anyone sees any license plate frames from there I would love to buy them!

So what is Dave's 500 looking like these days? Getting close or not so much?

hergfest

He hasn't touched it in a while.  He works on the East Coast and still lives here in the Seattle area so he doesn't have much time.

I'd love to see a photo taken at Talladega next year with at least 15 500's in it. That would be something that I'd really like to see.

Do you have a rough count of how many to expect so far?
"Liberalism is a disease that attacks one's ability to understand logic. Extreme manifestations include the willingness to continue down a path of self destruction, based solely on a delusional belief in a failed ideology."

69_500

I don't have any idea on how many 500's will be there. I'm taking mine, and I'm figuring that Troy will bring Dana, Paul you'll bring yours, Gary will be bringing his 500. Jerry Nerramore should be there in his. Alex Williams will probably make it. I hope that 110610 will be there as well. Ed cook should bring one of his down to Talladega. So that gives us a good start right? Oh and Tim Welbourne has one as well.

Your car looks a WHOLE BETTER  than the last time I saw it!!!  Somewhere around the early 80's I was looking for a 500 and a guy in Idaho sent me a pic of the one he had for sale.  Great car and nice pair as someone said before.

Hi,

the B5 blue 500 looks great.
I really love the looks of the project 500, too.
It looks a bit like B7 blue. Maybe the first one known to be in existence if it was the original colour as there is none in the registry yet in B7
