AKA:   Mr. Angry lights provided by Pete (Autodynamics).   Got dual filament kit the other day.

With a little thinking and a leftover plug from an old headlight harness I got HIDs on dim and then rigged up the flash to pass bulbs on to work with the regular halogen high beams.

Driving around with the HIDs on is super cool!   Great visibility over the old halogens.    Thanks Pete!

1 & 2.  HIDs.
3 & 4. Hi beams.

HID bulb as mfg'd adelivered and as I modified it - I cut off extra crap and moved the red wire on the male plug to the location that normally runs the high beam on the outside light.

I had to make a small jumper harness to combine the HID relay trigger and the driver's side outside light plug.
I used a cut off old headlight harness but somebody could buy a new $5 plug from the parts store also.

Add some E-code H1 high beams, then you'll really light up the night.

Its because most the aftermarket ones are not projectors that have a focused beam.
Most are just HID bulbs that are stuffed in an H4 housing that was never designed for
them and the light just goes everywhere.

Ive been looking at putting a set of projectors in mine but so far cant find any that
are shallow enough.

autodynamics

i bet if you seen them up close you would change your mind. mine don't blind anyone. if there pointed correctly then there wouldn't be a problem. there is no turning back to conventional bulbs.

Nacho-RT74

no, sorry... I have seen them on factory and dealer mounted cars ( specially Mercedes ).. and still hurts... AND I'M WORKING ON MOVING LIGHTS BUSINESS where lights are even more shine than that

I find exactly the opposite.  The nice high end cars with them never blind me.  Here on Long Island, you can't drive down the street at night without one of these cars coming the other way. It beats the old days of holding my hands up to my eyes getting blinded by a guy in an 82 LeSabre with old fashioned lights...

I'm happy with halogens :D

A buddy of mine does have HIDs on its Caliber and 92 Wrangler Jeep... I can't see a NOTICEABLE diff than the tipical halogen ( good ones of course ) specially if we compare with price difference.

I hate HIDs specially on trucks BEHIND ME at traffic, againts my interior mirror.

The ones that really bug me are the stupid projector beam headlights. I get blinded daily (nightly) on my commute home, by some mis-aimed headlight. :icon_smile_angry:

Anyhoo, those HID's look purty cool on your Charger, Brian. :icon_smile_cool:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Nacho-RT74

yeah I flip the mirror...

whatever... I know I will have to live with them around :P

where I can find the switch to 88/08 ? LOL

Any idea what kinda amps that setup draws with all 4 on?Have you tried them on with the wipers and blower running? Looks great!Don't melt your grill!!!

Hemidog

HID draws less amps than a halogen bulb.
And I wouldn't worry about the grill, HID = more light, less heat.

b5blue

Seems like a very bright idea then!
