Ok, so this problem has crept up-at night, the turn signals on the front will either work REALLY slow, or just turn on and not blink. If I turn the high beams on, it shorts out my cd/ipod player...

during the day, turn signals work perfectly.....

help??

UPDATE-----car wouldn't turn on this morning.  i just bought a battery a couple of days ago. this signal problem started with the old battery-so maybe it could be the alternator? i don't know...car will be taken to be looked at monday morning i guess.

My first thought would be a grounding problem. COuld perhaps coincide with moisture at night versus day

My turn signals did that exact same thing when i first got my charger. Problem was temperature. When cold, the old thermal blinker runs slow or not at all. Get a new capacitor style and that will be fixed.

Another cause is a short lowering your voltage. The old thermal flashers are VERY voltage dependent. Check your battery voltage running and not and post them here.

I say a possible ground connection, or the alternator is either not working or not capable of keeping up with the extra load of accessories on at night
