Gauge overlays for a 69 R/T Hemi

Hi Guys I'm new here and signed up for a friend of mine who is not computer savy. He is restoring a '69 R/T Hemi car and is wondering if there is anybody who makes gauge overlays for them, I'm not sure if his has the ralley dash or not (I'm a chevy guy). Everything is in great shape he just wants to freshen up the faded gauges as the dash doesn't need to be sent off for a full resto.  Any thoughts??? is there anybody manufacturing such products?

Absolutely.  Dave from Performance Car Graphics has them in FL.  I used them on my R/T.  His car does have the rally dash standard (as do all 69 Chargers)

I'm a huge fan of the gauge overlays, but if you friend is restoring a car of this obscenely high value, then he might want to consider sending the entire cluster to have the faces stripped and silkscreened, like they did originally.  The overlays are nice, but not correct and if you look close enough, you can tell.  again, I use them, but i have a charger that originally had a 318 in it.

also, he could probably disassemble the cluster and remove the gauges and just send them in.  In my opinion, if he starts with a decent cluster that didn't come from the floor of the ocean, then every other part of the restoration of the cluster could be done nicely at home.  Send the odometer in too and have that refaced.  that cannot even be done at home using overlays or a "cheap" way. 

let me qualify this by saying that you have to start with a decent cluster with no structural damage, no peeling of chrome on switches, etc...  he could send the gauges and odo in for silkscreening, then clean up the rest, buy new turnsignal lenses, polish the main cluster lense, buy new brake light lettering lens and gasket,etc... also would have to buy a repro bezel or have his rechromed.  In the end, though, he probably won't save enough for it to be worth it and sending the whole shootin' match to the man likely makes more sense.

Also he may want to upgrade the clock and the amp guage. So by the time he does all that he might as well send it in.
