I get a hesitation when ?I am accelerating from a stop....     any ideas ?

From a general standpoint... this old saying works best for me  "Its either fuel air or fire" in other words fuel filter clogged or restricted fuel flow in some way(fuel), or carb adjustment (fuel and air), or spark plugs worn out plug wires old or may have a hole in them, coil distributor ign system problems...and so-on (fire), Personally when I have had a problem like this and I know my timing is good and the carb is properly tuned, then I usually check the plugs.  This has happened to me a couple of times not only in my charger but also on my 92 Jeep wrangler, and changing the spark plugs has fixed it.

Try checking the float level.. may be too low
