Looking to buy new wheels and want to put a nice fat tire under the back, will 10's fit with no axel mod's.

Thanks, looks like they need to be custom built, unless some one knows where to buy them off the shelf. I am looking at torque thrust 2's.

Hmm I'm not sure about the sizing available off the shelf on the TTII's but there are quite a few that come in the right sizing. IF you want to look at/play with the backspacing thing a bit more check out this site! I really need to remember who made it (he is a member here) so that I can give credit but I can't for the life of me!

Lotsa modern cars & trucks have the farther backspacing.  It's a source of factory stock wheel options, and a place to look for aftermarket stuff being made to fit.

Anything being made for a 1980s Mustang or Dodge Dakota, lots of Jeep Cherokees & Wranglers, maybe the Ranger pickups too, might work.  They're 5-on-4.5" bolt patterns and RWD platforms.

I can tell you from personal experience that Jeep Cherokee wheels have absolutely zilch for backspace. I put the ten-spokes from my 91 Cherokee on the Charger just to see what would happen. They look ridiculous and make the car appear as though it would tip over going around a corner. There is almost the effect of a Charger body sitting on a Dart Chassis. As an aside, most 80's Mustangs used a four lug wheel. Good luck getting that on a Charger... haha!

Bigger is DEFINITELY better!   :icon_smile_big:

I got the BFGoodrich 295/50, cause the were the only option with RWL, or else I would have gone with 295/60.

Paul w  - DUDE! That Charger is beautiful!

Thank you so much  :-[ I get a bit of stick for painting it B3 they all seem to like B5 But i love it as it is quiet hard to find another, There is one more over here B3 white on white and a Plymouth roadrunner and that is sweeeet  :drool5: The other thing is the wheels again i love the look but most others say i should go Torque Thrust D or other Chrome things,I do like Magmun 500s in 8" & 10",But there has been issues with the chrome finish on some and that's not good when you live in the UK.So if anyone can give me the name of a real good Magnum 500 dealer i my get a set.  :2thumbs: Thank you again PaulW.

Interesting, according to that site I should be able to fit the 295/50/15's on my 15x8.5 American Racing Vectors :drool5:

If I am wrong, please correct me...  :scratchchin:

If the backspace is right, there should be no problems.

My superbird has 10 in wide x 17 high centerline rims now. but theres still room in the back for wider . I believe that the 11.5 wide rims would fit if the xtra 1.5 inches went tward the leaf springs. they discontinued the rims before I got back to getting them. you can fit a lotta meat under those b bodys without rubbing. you will hit the inner wheelhouse if you go over a big bump but not the outter lip and cause a groove in the sidewall of your tire . so be sure to have some stiff shocks.   thanks  Tom
