Well - here's the thing guys...    I got the charger, the road runner, and now the satellite...

The Charger is decided as a 6.1 Hemi 5-speed car...

The road runner is a bare shell...    and will not be one the road anytime soon

The satellite is a regular old 318 2bbl automatic convertible...

I have a nice 512" stroker i was going to use as the engine for the road runner with a six pack clone style...     but considering the road runner is soo far from being on the road - i'm thinking of just putting the 512" in the vert...     opinions...     I do have a recently rebuilt stock spec 383...     got a 4-speed just kicking it on the floor...   I just don't know what to do...    too many options...

I hate driving around on an engine I have not built...   so i could just rebuild the 318 but that costs money...

swapping in the 383 will either require a 727 which i do not have right now

couple parts for a 4-speed swap (floor hump, Z-bar, and fork rod   I have everything else) would be cheaper than doing an auto swap - but this is just going to be a cruising car...     not a race car so maybe I want an auto ?  but I don't mind the 4-speed either...

Please vote and give opinions.

I would keep it simple and go with the 383 4 speed.

Or, sell off everything except for the Charger and focus on one car and one money pit at a time...  :Twocents:

I'd sell 2 of them and keep my favorite. I wouldn't need 3 "fun" or weekend cars. Just one would be plenty. Then I'd take half or more of the money I got from selling the 2 and put it in the bank and use the rest of it on the charger and have it done.  :Twocents:

I'd put the 383 in the vert. with an auto trans. So you have some extra "stuff" under your right foot and you can leave the engine in there.
Because when you put the 512 in the vert, you likely go want to pull it out again when you runner is ready to go on the road, wich means more work for just al little more fun.....

And does a vert need a 4 speed IMO no if it's for 90% cruisin'.....

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...
