Good lesson learned.  Just like Mike and I mentioned, Always check the last things "fixed" in a situation like that.

Well I'm back from the show. Couple of minor problems but nothing too bad. Wouldn't start a couple times (7-11, car wash)...I know of the problem...it was just being more picky today. Had to fiddle with the shifter to get it to turn over. Another note, I was booting it down the highway, came to an intersection and noticed smoke everywhere. Pulled over and it was dripping oil onto the headers (STILL). So I tightened the valve covers more and then took it easy. Cleaned up the motor at the show and yes, I had my hood open Me and my friend's cars were the only Mopars there in a sea of Camaros and Corvettes I took it easy on the way back and there was no smoke or any major oil drops. Still dripping slightly though.

It's funny....I was kind of embarassed about my Duster dripping oil onto the field where the show was...until a fully done '71 Nova pulled up beside us to park and was dripping way more oil than me There was also a guy beside my friend with a Volvo...like a late 80s/90s Volvo. You know, whatever floats your boat

Okay so I'm thinking...I have just over 2 weeks until the big Mopar show I'm taking the car to. I have normal spray paint (Plastikote)...would that work on the engine bay? Or will it peel off from the heat?

If you're talking  about your inner fenders, firewall that sort of thing you should be fine. I'd hit it with something like a 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper and scuff it up to help the paint stick though. If you're talking about your engine, you really need a high heat paint and unless you sand it, chances are it'll peel regardless. If you want something for your manifolds or headers, they can be touched up with krylon BBQ grill paint and they'll look stay looking pretty good for a driver.

Cody..i was at the ripe old age of 26 when I bought my current charger.  It was pretty shabby but it was driveable.  Like you, I was concerned with things like dripping/burning oil etc... what I learned after going to enough of these shows and cruises is that no matter how much work you think you need to do to your ride, someone will always show up with something 10x worse than what you have....which you have seen with the drippy nova that pulled up next to you. 

on the painting of the engine bay, I will say that the body shop painted mine pretty effectively by removing all of the stuff off the inner fenders.  you can get way down inthere.

Okay sounds good. Yeah, I'd get it done professionally but since I don't have the time or money, I'll be using spray paint.

Well, I'm thinking it might have something to do with the neutral safety switch on the trans. You have to turn the key on and sometime put it into Neutral or something and then bang it back in Park and then try to start it. Yesterday I was having to move the shifter very slightly before it would turn over.

That's easy to test. Next time it does that, leave it in park and go out and cross the starter relay. Just MAKE SURE it is in park. I'd hate to see it run over you or see you have to go chase the car down.

We have done that before and it does start.

Well, my dad is coming over on the 30th so we can take it back to my grandparents in Vancouver. I'll be there from the 30th-13th. I'll be getting it ready for Mopar Madness in Langley on July 12th.

Your neutral safety switch is probably fine. More likely is the shifter bushings are worn a bit or try adjusting the shift linkage slightly.
