Well...hate to say it but it's coming home next weekend. Basically, it's my dad and his girlfriend's 1 year anniversary this weekend and she has to go to a baseball game with her son on Saturday so that put a kink in things. The show is next Sunday so my dad said, we'll take it home Saturday and then I can clean it up and take it to the show on Sunday. That and it gives us more time to fix the wiring issue and get the good front tires swapped.

Finally got it home today. Drove it probally 3 hours today. Drives and runs great. Did notice some smoke going down the highway but we realized it was just a leaky valve cover gasket dripping oil onto the headers and that was burning off. A new gasket and it'll be all good Went to a show today...supposed to be 9am-2pm. Got there at 1:15 to check it out but everybody was gone.....except a '74 Duster was still there. Parked beside it, took some pictures and everything. Damn my car sounds good. I had to use a disposible camera as my sis has the camera on a trip up Island with her. When I get them developed, I'll post them up

Here's something funny. I guess I didn't clean out the heater box enough (I also didn't put the cover back on)....well, when we first got it running and took the first test drive around the block, my dad floored it and pine needles came out of the heater box all over me . Then today on the highway, the same thing happened to my dad. I was like "now you know how it feels!"

Here's something funny. I guess I didn't clean out the heater box enough (I also didn't put the cover back on)....well, when we first got it running and took the first test drive around the block, my dad floored it and pine needles came out of the heater box all over me . Then today on the highway, the same thing happened to my dad. I was like "now you know how it feels!"

Those pine needles will cause rust. I told you to clear them out everywhere.....including the bottoms of fenders (remove the fender liner),the doors (remove the door panels), and cowl (remove the cowl screens)...and around the fender aprons....!!! These things CAUSE RUST DUDE!!!

Remove any body plugs and pull out (any and all) the debris ---FAST!!!  I hear the tin worm is hungry these days.

I cleaned them out everywhere I saw them. I guess they were sitting on a high point in the heater box and I missed them but they are gone now!

My 74 Charger was like that but it shot leaves at you. My 73 now shoots foam bits from the gaskets.

I'd consider taking things apart and using a shop vac in between (and inside) every body panel where those needles fall.

I had no carpet, no headliner and heard every rattle but I didn't care!

I put over 100 miles on mine today. I even went over 90mph once. That was fun. 

Congrats Cody. It's always nice to have one that drives. Thats why I am having a hard time tearing into mine to put the 360 in.

We got it up to 95 mph today. My dad's girlfriend was driving for a bit and she didn't realize the speedo was in mph

My dad was following us for a bit in his girlfriend's van. He said when we were going 90 in the car, he was going 140 in the van...and the van is KPH so I assume the Duster is MPH.

Cool cool, I wouldn't recommend doing that again.  But if you do, wait till you put a few miles on it and get to know the car.

Nice, I've only had my Charger up to an estimated 95 since my speedo is way off.
