Well we could allways even things up a little and have Dan drive the Black Pig....i'm sure he can shift a 727, right Dan ! 

Back to the topic at hand : Good work Cody !  The fuelpump on that 318 is probably fubarred from sitting so long. The fuel lines and/or filter are most likely in rough shape as well.

Cody, if I ever get around to replacing my perfectly fine working fuel pump with that Carter one which has been sitting on my bench for over a year you can have the old one, if I ever replace it.

Congrats Cody, it's always awesome to hear your Mopar start up for the first time. I remember the first time I started my 72 Swinger up. It had a 70 318 with edelbrock cam, intake, and Holley carb at that time. This was when I was only 15. I remember that the next day, I snuck it out for a drive to see what it could do. I was impressed.  It was originally that light pale yellow with black interior and white vinyl roof. It had slotted mags all the way around. 14x6 fronts and 14x7 rears. The guy I got it from had hit a dear with it and curled the hood and one fender and busted the grille all up. I found a real nice 71 /6 4 door and traded my 71 Camaro SSRS straight across for it(the Dart was such a cooler car). I fixed the front end and for some dumb ass kid reason, decided a 77 360 would be a better option. So out came the running 318 and after I got the 360 built, in it went. It never did rap as fast as the 318. But it was fun. I blew everything up on it at least once. After I spun a bearing, I parked it out back(it still ran, just rattled). I went out there one day to start it up and move it. Turned the key, nothing. It had a brand new battery, so that was weird. So I lifted the hood and someone had stolen the Battery, intake, carb, J-heads, valve covers, radiator, and more. That's when I did one of the stupidest things. I was pissed so I sent it to the scrap yard. I kick myself still to this day. I was 18 when I did that. I have so many stories about that car. The one thing I will never forget though, the first time I heard it run. Both times.
Just wait till you start driving it. That's when you really become attached. And if someone steels your parts, don't get to discouraged. There are more parts out there.

Cody, I have an original tuff wheel if you want it. it's pretty nice metal wise and the grip is good...but some dumbass cut the leather where it wraps around the spokes..here is a pic.

give me address and I will ship it to you if you want...wheel only, no adaptor or horn button/assembly...all of that stuff is on my grant knockoff...

1st two are the wheel....last one is with electrical tape to show the potential....you could probably fill it with something to make it presentable.. truth is that I ran is like it appears in the first two pics for years and it was fine.

You could use some of this to make it appear like it has the original covering.  It works. Just put on multiple small coats after you have taped up everything else.  Cut it with a blade around the tape and peel the tape off.
