The side moldings will be coming off too.

By the way everyone....this is what it'll look like. Basically a twin of TUFCAT's old Duster except mine will have white interior. :drool5:

Now I wish I'd straightend that antenna before I took that picture!!!  :brickwall:

I agree the car would've looked better with white interior also  :2thumbs:

....also for some reason, the antenna looks VERY long, (I can't remember if I ever noticed before?) Hmmm, :scratchchin:   I should be shot for that.

Damn...what a nice car! :o

The place also had some Roadrunners and other Dusters and such. (other pics on my vacation thread) It is like 300 miles from me so I won't be going back anytime too soon. I gotta get the Charger done anyway before any others come into play.

In '73 on Darts at least, front and rear bumper guards were standard.
I think on Dusters and Dart Sports, front or rear was optional, along with both. :2thumbs:

Another UPDATE. I'm going to dig it out of the snow tomorrow in Delta (that's the name of the place where it is, Vancouver is just used for the WHOLE area. ;)). Then I'm taking it to my grandpa's shop in New Westminster (about 15 mins away) where I can work on it and fix the starter/ignition problem. Then I'll do a check over and test everything with my grandma or dad and then I'll drive it home and then I'm gonna clean it up and replace some things (new wheels, new headliner, new carpet, HOPEFULLY a decent coat of paint) and get it ready for summer. I'm just itching to show something this summer. :yesnod:

The Duster is way cool for a dailey driver, but i would not invest too much money into her. I would focus on the Charger. I have looked at several nice projects in the last couple of years, but walked alway because i want to get my Charger on the road. I say, do one at a time, instead of having 3 or 4 incomplete projects.  :Twocents:

You said it all  :2thumbs: Most on here are young still. I had a kazillion different cars back in the day and it is like you get one done and then sell it buy 3 more projects and get tinker with them and see some more yada yada yada. Pretty soon your old and have a bunch of cars and you don't go to any shows or functions because all you do is work on different ones and never concentrate on one. If you have a bunch of money then cool you can send them out and get them done. If you do them all yourself life gets in the way and slows you down and then it takes a while to get them all done. It was different back in the day because almost any car was a collectible and you didn't have to search for projects and pretty soon you have too many at one time. The old days were a bitch you couldn't decide what to start next. I'm glad the prices are up and cars are harder to come by. People don't call or come by every other day saying I know where this nice Duster is for 75 bucks and needs a tranny. Now it is just once every 6 months

Not right now....Nick (guy I bought it from) wasn't home at the time and the sun was making it hard to get interior pictures with the windows up.
