With this car, you will inevitably find yourself fixing stuff  (and by doing so) learning new skills useful in rebuilding the Charger.

Man, I've had more Dusters than I can count. Some with the /6 and some with 318's. The only real problem I ever had with them was front ends. That is pretty much their weak point.

The last one I had was a 74 Gold Duster with a 318 and what looked like a snake skin vinyl top. It was sitting under a tree with a limb sticking through the windshield. I asked the old man if it ran and he said "Oh no. Surely the battery is dead by now"     

Anyway, to make a long story short, It ran and ran good. I ended up trading him a 12 gauge semi automatic shotgun for it.  When it turned over 200k miles, I added a 292 duration 501 lift competition cam and a Holly 4 barrel, and drove it another 36k miles. I finally sold it with 236k miles on it and have wished many times that I would have kept that one. Body was nice but then again in Texas they generally are.

Oh, And leave the rubber bumpers on yours. If you just have to take them off, Be sure to put them somewhere handy to get to when you decide to put them back on.

My second Duster was a LOT better - - - nearly 20 years later!
