Lookin' good man. I'm with TUFCAT though, papers cheap. I actually messed up the trunk lid of the charger while painting the stripe because I didn't mask off as much as I should have. It lazy (and costly) mistake that could have been easily avoided. :Twocents:

What color are you painting the bay? I know you said earlier but I'm too lazy to scroll up and look.

Good progress!  :2thumbs: BTW you will never get the oil stains off your driveway. :slap:

Our pressure washer should get rid of most of them. Plus we're moving anyways :D

Piece of cake... Buy a small box of Tide detergent, Wet the drive way with water and sprinkle the Tide all over the grease. Take a shop broom and work it into a paste with the grease and then the power washer will clean it like new.

I have to buy another can of primer but here's how it sits today. I got the whole firewall, and both inner fenders done with 2 coats of primer. I have to put another coat on the rad support and then do the frame rails and lower parts of the inner fenders. Then I'll prime the K-frame and etc.

I also bought some new parts at the Mopar show in Everett WA this past weekend....

Dude. Looks like progress is being made!!!

Be more careful about spraying primer on stuff that shouldn't be sprayed.... I saw some stuff that should be taped off like the shock washers, hood spring, latch, speedo cable, e-brake cable, some fuel and brake lines....etc.

I primered the e-brake cable. The fuel and brake lines and speedo cable are taped. The tape is just covered in primer

Looking real good!  :2thumbs: To protect your new battery tray a hunk of heavy tar paper under the battery helps! A little trick from boating world, tar paper keeps acid off the steel and rejects water.  :Twocents:

Okay guys.....just a verbal update for now. The whole engine compartment and K-frame are in primer and ready for paint. Painting the valve covers wrinkle black has begun. The headers are 75% painted. The engine has been cleaned and is also 75% painted Hemi Orange. I picked up a new double 'true' roller timing chain and gears, a carb fuel line and some sweet intake bolts over the past week. It's also coming together fairly fast......it dosen't help though that I've had a cold since about the 5th and this morning I woke up with an ear infection :RantExplode:

With a 4bbl carb and headers....it might actually come close to having ORANGE balls...for a 318 that is.  :nana:

Remember some (very late) 1971 model year 340's came blue! ....and the 1972-73 340's were blue also  :yesnod:

My dad surprised me this morning with this......almost there! We still have to install the new timing chain. :icon_smile_tongue:

I put another coat of black paint on the K-frame not too long ago. Once it dries I can climb into the engine bay and shoot the back side and the torsion bars.

I still have a lot to do when it comes to restoring the engine compartment parts. So far the washer bucket & voltage regulator are done.

Cody, looks awesome man! Question though: your doing exactly what I have done in the past, restoring your daily driver to be/look sweet vs. your charger. Billy Crystal said it best about 20 years ago, *its not how you feel its how you look*, the car that is... hahaha.. Keep up the great work Cody.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.
