G'day guys,

where the heck can i get trim rings to suit Rallye wheels that actually fit right ? I got some trim rings for my rallyes that i bought only to find that they don't go right to the centre of the wheel, or are there 2 different types ? i've attached pictures of my mates wheels with original trim rings and of mine with a replacement trim ring. Huge difference, or did some Mopar wheels have the trim like mine. ?

Any advice is appreciated.

Peter

What is the width of your wheels?   Orig were either 6.5" or 7" wide.

Mancini Racing sells the repro rings that Mopar reissued a few years ago....

G'day Guys,

thanks for the replies.

My wheels are 15x7 on the front and 15x8 on the rear.

Am i right in thinking those prices are for one single trim ring ?? MY GOD........The Paddock wants $142 for one ring ????
I think I'll be cruising Ebay for a used set. Damn.....this really ticks me off. I didn't think it would be this hard, and there's so many places out there which advertise Mopar style rings but they aren't the ones which fit properly.

The 15x8 wheel will be a problem....no one makes a 15x8 trim ring for Mopar wheels.  (although I have heard of some using a 15x8 ring from 70's Corvettes but they dont look right)

I'm quite happy to use a 7 inch trim ring on the rear wheel - not a problem. I just want to get the deeper dished rings. When I looked at my mates wheels the other day they look so much better than the ones i have.

I'm just stunned at the cost of them.

Peter have a look this might be the ones you need in the top pic you will see the bigger gap from the valve and the price is for a set. I would pop them an email first to double check.

I have just sent them an email. What your're saying about the valve stem is right. The trouble is that some places have a picture of the right trim rings, but the product is actually quite different. I can't see why it's so expensive for the deeper trim ring. Seems like a rort to me.

I'm actually thinking of getting used ones. Another place on Ebay told me that all the rings they know of leave a gap, and that the only ones that fit properly are from Wheel Vintiques. Guess what.......that's where my trim rings with the gap came from.

Hey Steve,

did you just "come across" Jacks Auto Parts, or have you used them yourself ?

The reason is they do seem to be the right trims (I emailed them to find out), but they just seem so much cheaper than everyone else - it makes me wonder if they are the right ones.

Has anyone else used Jacks ? :shruggy:
