So..... Bolting a wing and a nose cone on a 69 charger makes it worth 60K?

I guess its time for me to start buying up all the $15,000 "decent driver" quality Chargers and bolting on $2500 worth of parts. From what I see, leaving off the functional headlights and the rear window plug takes most of the work out of the conversion.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the effort of creating a nice clone (doing one myself), but if your only going to do half the work, the $60k price seems to be a little out of line. But that just my

Or he already paid too much for it and now hes trying to bail out.  Not very long ago the clones were bringing too much money and they are some of the first to crash when times get like they are now.

Other than the wheels it REALLY looks like a clone that was for sale here locally a year ago. (east central Illinois) Saw it at a 4th of July show in 07. Looked fairly solid and reasonably well done from what I remember. But I was thinking the price was closer to 39k which was still higher than I figured it would sell for.

But what the heck, I'm apparently old fashion enough I refused to pay $2500 for a 70 satellite which was basically a parts car with most parts needing replacement. It apparently sold for more to someone else.

I had a trade in the works on the car, the guy told me he would drive it down to me we could drive each others cars and make a deal.  He never showed up.  I called a couple of times and his wife said he was taking the car to trade it in southern IL.  I figured that was me He finaly said he went to look at a Chevy that was  a POS.  and was not taking any road trips with the car.  After being advised on here that I did not want to trade for that car, I never pursuid it any further.  The guy told me he had to get 35k out of it.  Even if the other guy gave him his 35k, he now wnts 25k more, since the market has dropped at least 10%

yep asking price for the car was $35k not that long ago(maybe a year). i could have bought it for $27k. but those frame rails being "replaced" scared me.. showed just how bad the car was at one time. and i figured if the dayttona "clone" part was done on the cheap, who is to say the body work/paint wasn't? that guy probably got it for $30-35k, and now is trying to make a cool $20-25k on the car. in this market??? HA good luck.
there is NO WAY he is going to get anywhere near that for that car. i STILL wouldn't give 27k for it
