The rims are fairly easy to find in the aftermarket, they are commonly known as Magnum 500's.  A repro house like Year One offers them but so do many others.  The redline tires can be bought in a few diffferent sizes and can be found as reproductions of the originals or as more modern radials.  A good source for the tires would be a place like Coker's Tires.

I guess it depends on how big of tire you want. I wouldn't put bigger than a 7" on the front.

Agreed.  15X7 front with 15X8 rear with the right tires on them can make for a very aggressive look.

The radial redlines could be purchased at Diamond Back Classics.  They'll make a radial in any size you want with a smooth sidewall....no lettering and no radial lines like the Cokers have.
I got my 255/60/15's there

I agree with that too.  My dad got some redlines for his 64 Sport Fury from Coker, and he is very pleased with them.  they have even made yellow, and blue line tires.  That picture you posted would look awesome with blue lines. :coolgleamA:

I looked the magnum 500's up on Wheel Vintiques website.  They sell a steel version in a 54 series and a billet version in a 94 series (at about twice the price).  Although they list many sizes, they show a 15X7 in a 5 by 4-1/2 bolt circle with a 4-1/4 inch backspacing and a 15X8 in same bolt circle with a 4-1/2 inch backspacing.  These are available in both series.  Summit sells them and the steel versions are about $200 ea while the billet versions are about $400 ea.  Are these backspacings what one would use on a unmodified 69 charger with disc brakes on the front and drums on the back (with 8-3/4 rear end).  I assume the billet wheels would be lighter in weight which would help handling and would not rust.  Any other advantages?

What tires would be best to use with these rims?  60 series?  What sizes for front and back.

I am giving some thought to these rims and also like the redlines by Diamondback Classics.  I looked at their website and they go for approx $200 each.  I don't know what Coker sells redlines for.

I would say that these wheels in the size you quoted will fit fine. I myself will be getting them for my '69 and the tire will be 245 60 15' in front and 275 60 15's out back. that should make for a good agressive stance.

rr. 15x8's w/ 275/60/R15

I have never had an issue with clearance either in the front or rear....... I used to have 255/60/R15's all the way around when I had my color-keyed steelies on her...
