Hello,

My name is Guy and I live in Rancho Cordova, CA (Sacramento area).  I've always wanted a Charger since high school (grad. 1974 - you know, before there were books!   :-\ ), and after raising 5 kids and having 8 grandkids, I think it's time for me to get one!

So I've been lurking for a few weeks and am slowly forming a plan.   I'll be looking to get a driver with a 440 - something I can take anywhere and with some power, but not for racing...    Just something to that looks and sounds cool.

By the way - FANTASTIC SITE!!!

Just 6T9,

Yes - I hope you don't mind me taking your baby's pic and modifying it.  When I saw it, it jumped out at me!  Then I started experimenting with a few different looks - the '68 taillights, no tailstripe, adding a black stripe down the side ala DMCL...

But the orange on it is perfect!  To my wife's disconsternation, it's my favorite color  :o    The wheels, tire width...  are great!

I'm hoping to create a "cousin" to it...

Glad to be here!

Thanks for all the Welcomes!!!    Yes -  I agree it's the best site on the web!

CB,
I'm looking for a '68, but a '69 would be just as good.   I like the retro look of the '68 taillights, although I favor the '69 grille...   Right now, I'm looking for space where I can work on it.   But I'm starting to search around Sacramento for Chargers in need of saving...

Thanks!

  Welcome .   :2thumbs:  Good luck looking in Sac.  I've covered that area pretty good.  I'd look around Auburn.  And maybe take a drive up Greenvalley rd. to Rescue, look on your right about 1/4 mile or so past Greenvalley Elem.  The car is a 68, brown ? and in some trees about 30' off the road. It's been there for about 18 years or so and with the economy like it is it may be time to let it go.  :shruggy: Also in the Pilot Hill/Cool area there is a few but they are down dirt roads and you need just go hunting. There is some out in the Pleasant Valley area as well. Good luck Guy.    Chuck...............

Welcome to the site. There is plenty of information to be spread around on here, and I don't think that between the lot of us there is very much about these old cars that we can't figure out.
