Halloween mask BURNS LIKE HELL..

I have many Halloween masks and all of them burn my face. I have tried to find a fix on line and so far haven't found anything. I am going to try baby powder to see if that takes care of it, but was wondering if anyone here has come up with a fix for it..

I just had one mask on for a minute or two and I feel my skin burning already.

I scared the crap out of my 2 year old grandson.... :D

sounds like you might be allergic to something in whatever the masks are made out of?  :shruggy:

Allergic to latex maybe? Lots of people are.

Yup! I guarantee that you are allergic to the latex powder!!!! :yesnod: I am too!  :rotz: I have to get special latex free gloves or else my hands bust open and get gnarly rashes! :eek2:

Maybe you should look for a different mask?  :shruggy: Try powdering your face if you have to use the latex one. Not sure how well that will work, because you'll sweat! :icon_smile_question:

Heres the solution:
Wear the mask until your face gets all swollen, red and gnarley.
Take off the mask and *ta-da* now your face is as ugly as the mask itself! Perfect halloween look!

Maybe just powder your face and forget the mask.  ;)

I'm hoping to build this one.  :icon_smile_big:

It's a mask, not the toxic paint fumes that some people inhale.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

How about getting over it? Kids need to be scared sometimes so they don't grow up to be sissies who cry about grown-ups scaring kids.

As a matter of fact, I just bought a scary-as-hell mask and plan to put it on, turn on the video camera, and wake my daughter up, standing over her. It will be funny as hell, and I'm sure she'll be fine. I'd do it to my wife, but I value my virility at this point in my life.

Live life. Have fun. Sheeesh.

Ya but very high level of stress like when you get scared will lower your vision and in some cases will blind you. I know people that this happened to.

good grief does everything have to be politically correct these days? I'm amazed that they still allow people to dress up on halloween because some of the outfits could be offensive to someone. Or how it shouldn't be right to dress up as a mutilated person because someone who has really had a bad experience might take offense to it and strike up a law suit. What ever happened to the days when people could be people, and people let things roll off their shoulders.

If the mask burns its probably an allergic reaction. Worked with a guy who was allergic to latex gloves so we purchased new gloves that weren't latex. Could try to do just the face painting, or possibly the face glue to add features to the face (burns, cuts, moles).

I couldn't agree more. I heard a guy here in Florida got arrested for wearing a mask at work. Evidently there is some retarded law against wearing masks in public due to some KKK horse dung from many years ago. Unreal that someone would call against someone just wearing a Halloween costume. I didn't get the entire story about it, but I am sure a BATMAN mask isn't infringing on anyone.. Sheeeeesh.......

I am considering doing just a make up thing. It just P's me off that I have a bunch of reallllly good masks that I can no longer use.. I have called and talked to many costume places about it. Nothing.... One recommended I take a Benedryl* .  I don't think I want to be dead tired on that and drinking too... Hahaha...  That would be scary to me..  :eek2:
