bypassing the neutral safety switch of a SB 727?

How can I bypass the neutral safety switch? Do I just ground the end at the switch? The wire from the switch would be the one that attaches to the "ground" prong (on the drivers side, bottom corner of the relay) on the starter relay right?

If you ground the prong on the starter relay (uaully the one which is at a 45-degree angle from the rest), you will by-pass the neutral safety switch. This is for test purposes only, as it will allow the car to start in ANY gear.

Wait until you accidently start it in gear and you hit something or somebody that is in front or back of you.It can happen.30 yrs ago had a friend that pinned his brother to the garage wall for exactly that reason.Fix it!

I agree, it could be kids playing in the car or anything but it only takes a second.  Some safety devices are worth having.

Yeah, that's true...

Good thing a whole new wiring harness is going in this winter, and I will fix the sloppy connector.
Don't know of a place you can get a new one?
