My cluster is out of the 69 and all the instruments need to be rebuilt/refaced. Who does the BEST job? Not worried about penny pinching so much as doing the job right...

You may also want to ask lilwendal here on the site.

Another vote for lilwendel !

never had mine done by him, but reading through his posts on the topic, I vote lilwendal also  :yesnod:
"An aggressive exterior with power to match was enough to pull in the performance boys-especially when abetted by a pair of pipes blaring out the back, and brawny red-sidewall rubber hitting the pavement."

I think lilwendal uses decals no?  I used them on mine & did it myself.

I think the other companies (Redline, Instrument Services etc) actually re screen print the gauge faces for a more "correct" appearance :Twocents:

I used Redline Gaugeworks in CA.  They did a fantastic job on the cluster.

You can read about them here:

I was going to send mine to Auto Instruments however I read some pretty nasty reviews on this site and decided against it.  If you search this site you'll read what I am referring to.

lilwendal did mine as well.    :2thumbs:  He also switched out the fried board in my tic-toc-tac and installed an RTE (can't remember the name?)  board.  He did a very nice job.   :Twocents:

8-9 years ago I used Auto Instruments.  Super quick turn around and overall great customer service.  They silk screen the gauges so like the odometer area, you don't see the decal edges.

I've recently heard some bad press about AI and don't know if he's cleaned it up or not but it would be worth it to ask about his return policy, etc.

Most outfits end up sending the face plates to cv to be rechromed.  They just take the credit.

Another vote for Redline here. They have my gauges as we speak, retroing them for the new style hemi. They can restore to original too.
