How do you tell for sure if a charger has a numbers matching engine? Im interested in purchasing a charger. The seller claims that the 383 engine is numbers matching but isnt 100% sure. Is there simply a number on the engine that should match a number in the VIN or on the fender tag? Where would the numbers be on the engine?

What should I look for when I get there?

The engine number location(s) for pre-1969's are a bit different. Go see http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,38316.0.html for a primer.
