I am looking to get a new pitman arm, does anyone know the moog number for a 70? Diferent brands seem to differ in price a lot. I seen some for 135 and this crazy price of 18.99 from JC Whitney. They say a name brand part, but give no specific brand. Has anyone ever got one from them? Here is the link.

I believe NAPA can get you the MOOG part you want.
I wouldn't buy from JC Whitney myself.

at any rate I think this page will help you.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I think thats the going price. The only place i could find one for my 69 was YearOne. I'm not sure if 70's are different.

What you have to watch out for is the premium vice consumer line of products that places sell.  You might be able to get a cheaper part from a source but it is in fact the cheaper part reliability wise.  The one plus with the premium line price/part is.... you get the premium warranty. Just something to think about

BNB, I believe 65-70 b bodies are the same part/number

Thanks, 95.00 cheapest so far. I guess they make it themselves? Rare parts make their own too I guess but higher. I wonder why moog discontinued them?

When I checked, Rare Parts, Inc was the only outfit that had the small sector shaft pitman.  The large sector is available via MOOG.  I've got a Rare Parts small sector that I bought but will not be using now as I bought a large sector from Firm Feel for my restoration.  Sent them back my small sector box as a core.  If you are interested in the one I have let me know.  We will work something out.

I got almost all my suspension parts from them and that is one thing they didn't have. Moog has discontenued them  :shruggy: Every auto parts store that I have been to wants to send me a rare parts product. Also every parts store wants to sell me the wrong part 80 percent of the time  :brickwall:
