Ever want to make your 1967 Plymouth 318 car a Original Numbers matching 383 car?

I have the Vin and Fender tag with ORIGINAL 383 and tranny from a 67 Sport Satellite "H" code c383, 325hp car. The car was not able to be saved but its one rare model!!

Engine Codes are as follows:

The engine and tranny are numbers matching to the fender codes and vin, it is all original from intake to oil pan, the carb is the only missing part of the drive train ( drive axle included ).
This is a really great deal, there are VERY FEW of these cars made.

It did, but with this guy actually advertising this stuff this way, how honest do you really think he is. ANYONE who would do THIS, is sure to have the letter stamps
to make his cars "numbers matching".

In Washington State-it is not illegal to sell a vin tag that is off the car if the car is already cut up. When the person buying the tag puts it on a car for rebody and stamps or alters a factory VIN, then a FEDERAL crime is committed ! Then the person who sold the tag to the criminal who alters the car becomes an accessory to that Federal and State crime ! Wash. State Patrol will catch  that immediately when the car gets an inspection or someone calls them and it's inspected by WSP after the sale has occured and the party who just bought the car feels cheated or defrauded!  There is a factory "line number/sequence number" the WSP officers look for when inspecting the car...and it IS in a special unobvious place. This tells them immediately if the VIN shown or altered matches the original factory sequence line number, which they have had in their database since it rolled out of the factory ! IF they feel there's enough evidence this has happened, they immediately seize the car and remove any vin info, fake tags, etc. take lots of photos and start an investigation and CAN crush the car !

Just curious but I don't think that there are any VIN's in any unobvious places on these old cars. Radiator core support, trunk rail, engine, transmission, dash, fender tag, and on 1970's in the door jam. Other than that it is not anywhere on the car. having viewed several cars that are stripped down to absolutely nothing, I can tell you there isn't any numbers anywhere else.

Just a technicality, but for a 67 the vin tag would have been riveted to the forward part of the drivers door jamb.

I agree! We hear about this special cop # on the car but no one knows where it is at?!?!  The cops arent gonna climb under and look in some odd ball place on an inspection. With out the right rivots and the fact the vin tag is already wrinkled will throw up a flag.

Problem is this stuff happens a lot. The old Dodge truck world is running wild with shady people putting vin tags on other trucks. Its easy to do there as they used philips screws back then. Of course the frame # wont match but no one seems to care.
