I've been a big Peter Sellers fan for ages & had never heard of this flick, "The Magic Christian" & I'm now curious enough to see it. It definitely looks odd enough to be enjoyable, & with Ringo Starr (yes, from the Beatles) as well as the others I listed below, it should be quite interesting.

"The Magic Christian"

Peter Sellers as Sir Guy Grand

Ringo Starr as his son Youngman Grand

Christopher Lee as the ship's vampire

Roman Polanski as the solitary drinker

Raquel Welch as the Priestess of the Whip   (This I have to see...lol)   :D

Has anyone else ever heard of it or seen it?

I like Peter Sellers, but mostly for his PP roles.  Never heard of that one though.  1969 with John Cleese in there as well, can't be all bad.  It does have Racquel in it.  That is always a winner :2thumbs:

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Absolutley one of the best movies I've seen .
If you are a Peter Sellers fan than go get it.
Has nothing to do with music [ Ringo]
Basically they set out to make the most respected folks, in certain professions, look like fools, and succeed.

I got my friends hooked on it years ago.  For us it is a "cult classic"

That's probably why I had never heard of it, thanks for the heads up.

You have to remember, some of the contemporary flicks in the 60's were made by people who thought they were doing something that was cutting edge. John Lennon made a movie that was 90 minutes of just him smiling at the camera. I guess drugs had a big influence on what they thought was a good idea too.

I probably won't buy it, but if I see it somewhere on a discount table, maybe just for laughs.

I've had it sitting by the TV for months, but just can't get interested enough in it to hook up a VCR to watch it. I don't even know why I shipped a VCR with my house hold goods.
