73 Wiper arm placement

This might be tough to explain
I am trying to install the wiper arm's.
The blades are attached.
Because the blades stay kinda in a straight line with the arm, It looks wrong.
We have the 3" wide piece of chrome across the bottom of the windshield.
If the lower part of the blade does not touch the chrome then the top of the blade is half way up the windshield.
Is the blade designd to park on the chrome, or mabey part of it.
Is there a way to tell from the splines what angle to install them.

I don't really understand what you are saying, but the blades are supposed to park on the semicircular part of the chrome.
You can kinda see in this picture of my 2-speed 73

and in these of my 74 3-speed, mine did not park all the way because of sloppy linkages

Wasn't sure if the blade was supposed to touch the chrome.
