I figure instead of having a million threads about people spotting new Challengers, we should all just post our sightings in one thread.

I'll start.

I saw a white one on a transporter going to the dealership here this morning. I'm going at lunch to check it out.

I drove one :2thumbs: but Monday night I went by the dealership that had a silver R/T with the 71 RR Type hood decal treatment.  not sure I like it :shruggy:  I prefer the hood black out that came on the old Rallye hood.

Wow stuart great pics!  I had missed that thread the first time through.  What a collection of mopar photos and the Arch looked kinda familiar.  Thank for reposting the link :2thumbs:

So if you wanted them all in one thread why not continue your post in an existing thread?

There's one at the local dealer, a blue 2009 5.7 R/T. It has 450+ miles and they don't want to do any test drives unless you put your name on one because they "want to keep the miles down."  :shruggy:

I see 4 or 5 a week so I'm not sure spotting a "new" Challenger is that exciting anymore (at least here anyways). Plus because the assembly plant is nearby I've seen dozens of car carriers rolling south to the US full of Challengers. I'd imagine it would be the same in most major US cities with them being more commonly seen. :scratchchin:

greatwn73

They're everywhere , they're everywhere. Its just another car now.

WingCharger

A guy up in my town has a orange one. Not sure what it is, but I know its got a HEMI! :coolgleamA: :coolgleamA:

I would order a black R/T, with no options but the six speed.

Yep. The QEW is like that as well.
I see the transporters loaded up with them almost every day.

but I don't see too many just out and about. I think I've seen maybe a half dozen or so now.
The dealership in town has had none that I've seen. Apparently they had some coming that were ordered - if that's true, they spent zero time on the lot/in the showroom...

In August, I went to Moparfest in New Hamburg, Ontario. That was on saturday. That night I drove to Brampton to see the acres of new Challengers outside of the plant. It was really cool seeing them all there by the hundreds, lit by the yard lights and the moon.
On sunday I drove back there to take a few pictures....

Now that I'm on the east coast, I'm not seeing the volume of cool cars that I'm used to seeing on the prairies.
So when one of these cars showed up, front and center at the local dealership, well - I had to go down there last sunday and practice my "fancy picture taking".

I first saw one back in 2006 at carlisle when it was revealed it would go into production. As far as them being "everywhere" i can say there's definitly one down in my part of the world and im sure it wont be the last iether.

congratulations! apparently not many are selling, Chrysler anounced sales are off over 30%.  I sure it doesn't affect future models debut, such as the 2010 convertible :drool5:

I'm sure the only problem selling them is coming from the dealers themselves, gouging the customers as much as they can!
$69K for a car that lists (in Canada) for $45K....which is still too much IMHO.

I'm definitely on the bandwagon as far as buying one. But it has to be purple and a six speed. Maybe with the "Challenger Classic" wheels, which look an awful lot like 5 spoke Cragars.

I don't think they are jacking the prices on the 09 the way they did on 08s. infact I was told at a dealership "we will deal on the 09"  but no purple yet :shruggy:

My dealer has 2 SE's, & another has an SRT8. I chatted w/my dealer about trading my GC SRT8 for a Chally SRT8, but I'm not sure... RWD w/425hp will be no good in the snow. :eek2: Anyways they are as good looking in person as they are in a pic.

Yeah, but our young Bronzy lives up there in the mountains of British Columbia with the Grizzlies, Pumas, and Sasquatch.   He's lucky to see pavement.  :icon_smile_wink:

I saw my first one in the wild last Monday. A grey one in the grocery store parking lot...just sitting there amongst all the other everyday cars. I tell ya, everyone that walked by sure did rubberneck it.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Randy, congrats on the new ride!  Sad to see the GMG go though....you put a lot of time & effort into it.  Going to leave this one pure white or are some graphics in the works?  I like the R/T hash marks on the hood/fenders myself

I finally saw one in person. The wife and kids wanted to stop and pick up some donuts and as I waited in the car I suddenly realized I was across the street from the local Dodge dealership and figured they might just have one. So I ran over to have a look and sure enough, there it was, a 6.1 Hemi version for $42k. I didn't happen to have that much on me at the moment or I probably would have bought it.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.....I had $42K in my pocket, but didn't want to spend more than $41,999.
