My Dad taught me about TIME TRAVEL.

That was a nice lookin' Olds.  My high school sweetheart had one, looks just like that one.  It had a 455-4, that thing made a lot of noise when you nailed it, not real quick but impressive enough.  It absolutely loved fuel.  The best part about it was the bench seat.   :icon_smile_wink:

The windshield is still intact so hopefully they were wearing belts.

72 Cutlass SX Supreme. I REALLY like the look of those cars, I ALMOST bought a black one with a white interior with a 455. Pretty decent car.

I'm a closet Olds fan myself - - that's a real shame  :eek2:

Hm, I wonder who's fault it was. That thing looked like it was MINT too!

TUFCAT

Here's my guess. The driver of the camper mis-judged on-coming traffic while attempting a left turn at an intersection. At the same time the Cutlass was approaching in the oncoming lane. The trailer couldn't clear the intersection fast enough......before the Cutlass took a glancing bite out the left side of his camper.  :scratchchin:...or he was drunk and drove into the side of the damn thing.  :shruggy:

WingCharger

I like old Olds. I have always wanted a '51 Oldsmobile 88 with a Rocket 88. :coolgleamA:

Cutlass's and 442's are cool too. :2thumbs:

"Rocket 88" was the first rock song. It was sang about a 1951 Oldsmobile Rocket 88. :icon_smile_big:

One thing that might not make the Olds as bad as it looks, is that it's a full frame under it & the inner fenders & radiator support aren't unibody like the Chargers. If they unbolt that crunched mess, it might not need extensive structural repairs.   :shruggy:

Posts: 20  Bad Crash last Saturday!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi there,
im back with bad bad news from Germany....

Last Saturday we went to a classic car meeting and on the way home a black Mercedes overhauled 6 guys behind me and reeves in between me (my english s*cks!:-)) and the 68 c10 in front of me....

So he has at least!!! 80 miles per hour (120) on the tach(this street was 60mph/100kmh) he hit the brake (it was an 2007 model i think?!?!), so i will brake , this f*ckin guy brakes down anyway and i couldnt hold it cause the distance for this car wasnt!!! there so my rear end was blockin, breakaway thru right, and then i must steer against, but i was helplessly...
left, right, left, right, than i hit an car trailer this takes me a turn and i m sitting in the field...
Thank God no persons hurt .!!!!!!!!!!!
i got some pain on the back and the driver of the trailer too...

im speechless everytime when i think of this ... idont know

Let the pics speak ....

WTF??  The only thing I could understand was - -

"left, right, left, right, than i hit an car trailer"

which, in this case ......explains it pretty well ! :smilielol: :smilielol:  :smilielol:

terrible one

It translated to me that the Mercedes cut in front of the Olds and hit the brakes, the guy with the Olds couldn't stop in that short of distance and the rear tires locked up as he tried to avoid the Mercedes and he started swerving from side to side trying to straighten up and eventually hit the camper.

TUFCAT

Terrible, - -  hey now!  That actually made sense!    Thanks for the translation.  :2thumbs:   ..... I must only good at broken Polish-English. :icon_smile_wink:

Oh, by the way I caught the "this f*ckin guy brakes" part of his Engl-German-ish. :icon_smile_big:  I guess the word F*ck can be considered universal in all languages  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

Hi,

you got it right.
The car was supposed to be in real nice shape and they say they want to restore it again.
Due to being german I can assure you that it is sometimes pretty busy on our roads with a lot of people not having respect/attention for classic cars (and their old technology).
Did I mention that Daimler sucks?

The guy with the silver 70 Charger is really in a bad position, his car is probably written off and would only be restored if it was a Daytona&co
