Wow, I knew it would eventually happen................ Here's my old six pack Charger R/T.. I've probably owned the car longer than anyone on the planet.. Now, it's surfaced from a long lost disappearance off the radar screen..............................  This makes the 3rd owner since I owned it from about '84-'95 or thereabouts.. It was my daily driver for many many years.. Here she is in her glory days with the rallyes......... Don't like the road wheels on her at all !!!

I notice in the pic of the car's interior that it has the woodgrain dash, but it does not have the woodgrain steering wheel.

I thought cars that came with the woodgrain dash always got the woodgrain wheel, am I wrong in my assumption?  :scratchchin:

Anyways....glad to see you've come across your old friend again!

Nope... The woodgrain in '70 was standard equipment on '70 Charger R/T's and Superbees.................... The standard wheel was still the body color 3-spoke.............. I did change the car from a column auto to console,.

Is that possible after years of DD use?

There is absolutely no way the car has that few of miles..................

I sort of like the road wheels... anyway, I'd put back on whatever came originally.  It  looks good either way in my opinion. I  LOVE the car!

In fact, I LOVE ALL YOUR CARS!!!!  (we need a smilicon for car envy)  :2thumbs:

The car did come with 14" wheels, so more than likely, that't the way she came.. I just prefer the rallyes................  Here she is when I found her in 83/84..

I remeber that magazine write up!  I bought that back when i was in high school, 87-88.  I still had my 68 Charger.  Thats so cool how things come back around.

Burnt orange interior is KICKASS!  I've mentioned this here before....my Dad was close to buying a 1970 Charger (SE or 500 most likley with a 383)- - after realizing a '70 Challenger was too small for kids.  Anyway, it would've been ordered as K5 Burnt Orange/Burnt Orange interior.  He ended up buying a used 383 powered 1969 Charger SE with T7 Bronze/Saddle Tan interior instead.

I think the White/Burnt Orange interior combo looks great....its gotta be rare for a six pack car

Oh the stories I can tell about this car....................  150+ racing a Corvette in '88, running from a cop and hiding in a driveway as he passed me, the countless  dual black marks all over Palm Beach County and many many more.....  :icon_smile_big:

Yup, I was there for the race with the Vette as it had kicked my cars ass just before Troy ran his butt down. The guy was pissed when Troy told him what he had paid for the car and the guy had spent thousands on his new Vette. I was there for most of those dual black marks all over the county too...lol. I took it to work one day when I was in the service and Troy visited me in Ga.. I was taking guys in my unit for rides all day scaring the Hell out of them in this car. It was brutally fast. I miss that car about as much as Troy does.
I hate you Troy... :smilielol:

Yeap, before I got the seat covers..... The car you're looking at is what Frank at Legendary used as his initial pattern. They didn't have '70 Charger seat cover then. I sent them my originals...

Very sharp car dude! :drool5: One of my favorites. Rallyes look amazing! :yesnod: :drool5:

Never knew burnt orange was a interior color option?

That is the car I dream of racing civics while Johnny B. Goode is blaring out the speakers with.

SIX PACK!

:iagree:  Burnt Orange interior looks great with all exterior colors. I also love the White/Blue interior combo.

ps- This could be yet another last day production car painted white. That was a popular color on the last day.

Well, are you itching to unload your current '70 and buy this one back?

Paul,
I don't have that sort of money... What it would take me to buy my old one back would be nearly $40K.. I could put that into a new paint job for the current v-code I have, repaint Dana and finish off the '68........
