anyone know how rare a 1966 charger with the original 383 and four speed? :shruggy:

bull

I believe they're fairly common but I'm no authority on the subject.

Depends on what you consider rare.... according to GG's white book, there were 9,519 383 autos vs. 2,809 383 4spds.

That is a heck of a deal.

Of course if we had pictures we could tell you for sure.  :D

Didn't do too bad??!!! I'd say that's an excellent deal... a steal, in fact! Need to see the pics, though....

They aren't that rare in the grand scheme of 1st gen Charger numbers but they're damned fun to drive.  Looking forward to the pics.

My Charger has a 383 with an automatic and I LOVE that engine!  Just keeps going.  Got mine going after 20 years of non-running, still sorting it out.

Good luck!

I got 2 of 'em....both made the same week of the same month in 1966....both 383 with 4spd.....still have the Inland shifters in them also. One car still 95% all original.....paint, drivetrain...I re-did the interior couple of years ago.....

Most 4spd cars are either long gone cause they were driven...as they were meant to be
