check out this dyno sheet from my 70 charger. one was with a indy dualplane, another with a indy singleplane w/ a 2" spacer and dominator.
it really likes that single w/ dominator.theese are at the wheels.this thing idles and drives very well for a street car. :drive:

hard to read the numbers, had to resize it.
it reads:
blue line w/ dualplane 599.9 hp.    598.6 tq.

red line w/single and dominator 668.2 hp.   622.2 tq.

i dont know why the lines came out squigly, dyno  guy said maybe it was slipping a little.

Those rear tires will be asking for mercy :2thumbs:

Guess you need to do some suspension work, specially if you run a stock setup with that amount of power :drive:

That's a little better !  ;) Glad you figured out how to attach pics....now we need a few of your car(s)  :2thumbs:

The 572 is really liking that single plane and Dominator. It show's...especially in the top end HP numbers where the Dual plane is starting to choke down the big mill. The TQ numbers from the DP are still impressive....i like that manifold on a 500 incher for street/strip duty.  :yesnod:

I bet it's a handfull on the street

G-man

You are not oldschool from cuda-challenger.com are you?

Very nice cudas, Very nice chargers.

I was an E-body person until the recent purchase of a 68 Charger, must say the Chargers do look tougher than the cudas... makes the cudas look kinda girly

Im sure they would kick butt though, just saying 'looks' wise  :icon_smile_big:

572 " of motor... Whats the MPG u get out of that?  :slap: Yes that sounds retarded but im still curious.

btw - Glad u picked the charger to stick that mother of an engine in. It suits the look. Its all bad ass. :yesnod: :2thumbs:

thats not me on cuda.com. i also think the chargers look more aggresive, but i am a little partial to chargers. my first car was a 68 charger (28years ago).
theres nothing girly about theese cudas w/700 hp they are no joke  :icon_smile_big:
the 572 does not get MPG it gets GPM (gallons per mile). really i have never checked, but it does not seem to bad IF i drive it easy (yea right)!

I wouldn't even try to hook that car up on the street.

Looking at your car pics, I see some chassis/cars that aren't being set up to drag.  Just cruise.  If you put a 572" motor in there and try to hook it up with tires larger & sticker than stock . . .  it would probably be just enough to break expensive drivetrain parts & compromise the handling of the car, but still nowhere near enough to hook the power up very well.

528hemi

Hi Oldschool,,

I have a 66 dodge hemi charger bored/stroked to 528CI.  I wanted to keep it stock looking for years with the original 2x4 dual plane stock manifold. The motor wa sdone at Ray Bartons and dynoed at 620hp/ 630 torque at the motor.
The dyno looks simualr to yours with the dual plane.  Do you know if the singel plane indy will fit without me modifying the hood? How much higher is it then a stock hemi dual plane? I dont really want to replace the hood.
If it does not fit, Do you know of another single plane low rise intake that might work for me?

Thanks,
528hemi
