What do you guys think of this part of my dash section? Here's the pic, the backs touch but the front is vinyl and foam and has shrunk over the years.... looks like a V shape instead of a nice tight seem....should I replace or go with it as it looks here?

It looks like both pieces have moved.  Thats a tough one.  Maybe go with it untill you find a suitable replacement.   :shruggy:

Went for a visit on Saturday morning before heading to see Joe Bonamassa at Massey Hall in Toronto Ontario. Coming together nicely other than I am way over budget :rotz: Otherwise we just need exhaust, battery, rad, rims n tires fitted properly, stripes applied and everything reassembled. Really hoping my cash flow will allow it to be done by Moparfest this August..fingers crossed. Here's some pics

Man, the car looks great!   It's hard to tell, what color is the vinyl top going to be?  My  :Twocents: keep the vinyl top off.
My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

toyed with that thinking back when it was getting prepped for painting but opted to go with a black top. The lighting is horrible and these pics were taken quickly as I was in a hurry. Once it gets a good coat of armour all etc it'll look great ;)

Please don't use armoral it dries stuff out after leaving a slick shiney build up.\
I use No-touch tire cleaner. There's probably something even better, but please don't use armoral. Car Looks great BTW!

Nice progress and alot faster than many others here (including me)......

About the dash : honestly my first reaction was : holy crap that seam between the pad an glove box door is terrible. If it were mine i'd keep it on to finish the car and to be able to enjoy it one first summer, but it would be my first winter project to get that fixed.
Don't see this as criticism to your work but just a reaction to your tought. On the other side yorur car looks TOP!

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

No problem I can take the advice but I have waited 5 yrs from when I bought the car to drive it. Now it is so close you can smell the smoke :drive: It's going to be a pain in the ass to change that dash part out once its installed. What do you think I am looking at to replace those sections?

Well good pieces are not common to find, but would it not be an alignment issue? maybe you can adjust both pieces until you get a more satisfied result? Sorry I dont know more about this.....
Anyway the car is an awesome motivation for alot of other members here including me  :2thumbs:

We have messed around with alignment but to no avail as the foam has shrunk over time. It's going to have to do for now. Thx for the input!
