This had been an absolutely amazing transformation from start to finish!

I hope mine comes out half this clean on the body work!

You sir have my respect for the amount of effort it has taken to bring this Charger back from the brink of death!

Seems like we should give each other a big pat on the back for bringing back our cars from the dead... I don't honestly know whose was worse!

Thank God for AMD and donor cars (I actually purchased at least half of four different cars - and a complete car we didn't end up using - for the resto)...

Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see your finished product!

Were you dealing with John at Boot Hill? He's no longer there. I had trouble getting clear quotes from him on costs that is for sure. I had a better idea when I spoke directly to Cam who was actually doing the work. My initial budget was exceeded as well. My wife was not thrilled that the final cost was way more than initially expected, however we were in the "this has been going on forever let's just get it done and more on" frame of mind.

Shawn, from Maclean Classics did all the dealings with Cam & the owner but they spent alot of time aligning things that all will have to be done over when the car is back together. After seeing the paint with my own eyes I was not impressed with their final sanding, massaging? etc & paint job after all was said and done. Anyway I'm not going to go on about it as they have people with deep pockets I'm told that will pay for the work they do at outrageous prices. I'll have to head over & see you thread on your 70 board soon :2thumbs:

The control arms are going to be powder coated along with the Mr Norm's IFS that I decided to go with. Mirror black should really set them off as the silver paint on the car is so sweet! I went with the basic SSBC disc brakes that came with the IFS through Blue Moon Motorsports. They have 11" slotted rotors included and I could use the $ savings somewhere else. My Grille looks great after they restored it and I am now waiting on an order from PG..(OUCH!) and Legendary. The front end should give me a 150 lb weight reduction and improved steeering and handling. My 40 over pistons got shipped to CHINA instead of Toronto..arghhh..its been a mess! Other than that ts coming together nicely.

"An aggressive exterior with power to match was enough to pull in the performance boys-especially when abetted by a pair of pipes blaring out the back, and brawny red-sidewall rubber hitting the pavement."

"........the four speed box changes cogs with the precision of a sharp axe striking soft pine."

Wicked72

so basically you made a new car lol. looks great!
