how hot do exhaust manifolds get . the reason i ask is im going to try a coating that my friend BILL aka " BILLSSUPERBIRD " has on his manifolds . but im going to do it a bit differant . his manifolds were on the the 440 and in the car , so the coating baked on under normal running condition .
im going to try / attempt to do this with the manifollds alone and using a heat gun . so that is why i need to know what temp to set the heat gun at .

thanks RANDY

I've seen about 550-700* on a stock 440+6 motor....

My 440 got them to 1300*...     the joys of WOT for an hour and running a tad out of tune

Put them in the oven for about an hour ( if your wfe don't catch you ) at about 500* and that will do the job! :2thumbs:
