Thought I'd show you folks my latest purchase.   Since I was going to be doing the exhaust, which lead to the manifolds which leads to the spark plug wire kit......It never ends eh!   ::)

Anyways, I purchased the big block spark plug wire kit and the two heat shields from A & M High Tech Automotive out of Burlington, KY.   Just got them today and of course, since they are brand new, they look great.   See attached photo.

Chris put me on to Bill Allphin, who is a very nice guy and knows his stuff.   Highy recomended!   :2thumbs:

Chris, Bill says to say hello.

Here is a link to Bill's site:

Shakey, glad you posted those photo's. I found the oranged painted (mine is not painted) item and the black "U" shape unit (left upper corner) item in a box that came with my Charger. Where do both of those units go? I guess they are heat shields but where?

Bill has this information on his site.

I saved them to my computer so I could reference them in the garage.  Then it turns out, he included them with my shipment as well as another sheet with even more info.

Did I give him a  yet?   :icon_smile_big:

That's strange I have a 1968 Charger no. match and in the box it came with "PWS02" shield. According to the guide it says from 69 and later.  ??? ???

"Later" maybe being older i.e 1969 and older? ???

That should be correct.  Otherwise to correctly state   69 and newer...if it was for 69-74.  At least that is how I would read it.

Nacho-RT74

on my 74 400 ( also have seen on others 74 up there by internet pics ), the plastic 4 wires retainer goes on to a braket welded on Valve cover. Before that one there is one attached the front upper valve cover bolt. That is on left side.

On passnger side goes attached on to the first exhaust manifold bolt/nut BUT toward to up, not down as pics says. ???
