Am going to finally break down and buy a set and have a question or two for those with experience with these (big block 84cc).
Head gasket:  Is the Felpro #1009 ok?
Head bolt kit:  I see Edelbrock's bolt kit ($112.88 Summitt) and ARP's #145-3606 ($67.95 Summitt) - any difference/recommendations?
I've always used a valley pan gasket only for the intake.  Is there anyproblem with that vs. including the paper gaskets that come w/ some kits for these heads?
Any preferences for bolts vs studs for the headers?
Any other things to be considered?l

on mine i used the cheaper rebiulder felpro gaskets 8519pt head gaskets.     i use bolt for my headers sence all the holes are dry. and i use the 12 point arp bolts for the heads.   i also use arp valve studes with 12 point heads but mosty because i use mp cast valve covers and the arp studes work really well.  i use just the pan with with out the paper gaskets.     i also like the percy seal for good header gaskets. i had a little trouble getting 2 different sets of headers to seal with the e heads, but the percy gaskets work great!

  good luck!

Thanks Runner, I appreciate the response!  I've also had excellent luck with Percy's in the past.
One more thing, I'm almost certain to have header issues (I now have 1 7/8 Super comps), as everything I read says they won't work...is there any header that will work with these heads on my '68 charger that are comparable in performance other than TTI's?  I am hoping to build a healthier motor over the winter, so I want a suitable header that will perform and fit.  I have a hard time believing TTI is the only one that is available that will fit the bill.l
I'd love to use my Super comps as they work well and fit great, but unless someone can tell me otherwise, I guess I'll have to switch...
Any help is greatly appreciated!

im not sure how the super comps are routed, but i use 1 7/8 hooker comps on my roadrunner.   they have no issues at all on the drivers side there is piles of room. . the passenger side has a couple  plugs that are tricky  and required a slight ding in a couple of tubes and 90 degree ends, and not big fat ends like msd uses.   another alternitive is to buy the mopar aluminum 452 head. it is a edelbrock rpm head with a mopar logo on the front instead of an eldebrock logo however they have straight plugs just like stock heads but they are a good bit more expensive.        when i first bought bought my heads i was running headman cheapo headers and they worked with out a problem at all.  heres a couple links for ya, the first will be of hooker comp headers on e heads and another is a header right up from moparts.

had good results with felpro 1009
used hooker comps 1 7/8 tubes on 73 charger 446 ps/pb/air
fit drivers side great. must be dimpled on pass. side #2 and # 8 cylinders
new build ,had to do cam breakin, did not want to put 800+ dollar TTI's on and burn the coating
used arp bolts 10.5 c.r. no ploblems yet ...1500 miles

Eddy heads make good power and you can skip all the posts on problems with chinese heads.

I use Hooker Super Comps with Eddy heads. I had to take a hammer to the passenger side, seem to remember number 2 plug was the problem, but the drivers side was fine.
