Had to share this with all the Metallica fans,
    I am going to pick up the new Metallica in a few minutes.
My friend has a local record store and he was able to get me it on 2 LP Gatefold, Record.
Can't wait to go home after work and crank it. :2thumbs:

I've had the new album for some time now (friend got a great copy of the leaked version). Honestly its GOOD. Not great, but good. Gives me something new to listen to. You will hear a bit of old metallica in each song, you can see from which album the songs came from. All in all its 100x better then the st.anger crap but its still not close to there older stuff. And i personally think for unforgiven III they should have stuck to the same thing as the first two.

Always liked them but really liked the early stuff more than the later stuff.  It's all good though.  Hell, my god is Ozzy and he put out a couple stinkers but I still own em' and still crank em'  at least once a week. :2thumbs:

:2thumbs: Well stated....They just are not the same band that I grew up listening to.  I love every album up to "and justice for all"
after that Im pretty dissapointed.  How many would go to metallica shows if they only played newer material?? That unforgiven 3 is awful...the 2nd one wasnt great either...

the unforgiven II was horrible. The riff sounded like whatever they call those bad "cover" versions of songs (interpolations?) that they use in TV shows and whatnot when they can't get or don't want to pay for permission to use the original version of a song, so they get these songs that sound alike, but a note or two in the melody is different.
