Jim's Auto Parts? Anyone??

Has anyone ever purchased from this place??  It's about 45 minutes from my house, and a guy I know told me it's the only place he buys his parts from..

Any experience with this shop here?

If you do business I would certainly PICK up the parts.....Inspect the part......then buy it.

People have reported that prices "changed" when they went to pick up in person.    I would never do business with them.    Imagine this, you never see them face to face at a swap meet.  That should tell you something.

I ordered a trunk drop from them that is supposed to be delivered on wed. the 10th. I'll update after I take to the bodyshop that day.

Jim's is about a 45 minute ride for me.. But if they sell crap, it's just not worth it no matter how close they are!!

They don`t sell crap but everyone I know that has done business with them has had nothing but problems, from price changes, gouged on shipping, no returns. I had a friend drive down there from here (central Maine) and the prices had risen dramatically within two hours...I suggest if you go there make sure they have what you want in stock, get a firm price, and then run for your life. Go to moparts.com and ask they same question you asked here and you`ll see what I mean.

Anything you can get from Jim's can be found elsewhere and will be cheaper. Close or not, I wouldn't bother with them. And I too am less than an hour away from him!

Nope, not me.. So far the car's only been out of my garage to my buddy's shop 3 miles away.. I know who owns the car you saw though.......

You've got that right!! That pretty much narrows it down to EVERY NIGHT in Boston.. Which is why I'm glad I'm not that close to the City..I think the place is a trash can.
