I'm looking to purchase an aluminum Shroud and electric fan. I have a aluminum 22w 19h 2d Radiator. With the 440 I have does anyone know how much CFM I will need to pull to keep the motor cool?

I'm looking at this.

Dont know the required CFM, but with an aluminum rad it shouldnt take much.

I have these on a 4 core stock radiator,

I could not be happier. I also went ahead and blew money on there relay kit and it saved me doing the wiring, which was great. You could easily do the wiring yourself, but the kit made things a "breeze"

Temp goes to 195, fans kick on and in no time im back down to 180.

Id look into BeCool fans only because i know there a quality product. More expensive, but quite reliable IMO.

ive been looking on ebay and there are fans going for $35 ........ive heard u get what u pay for but summit and jegs seem to be selling the same fan for 5 times the price.

i might just give the ebay fan a whirl..... they have the 3000cfm

3000 CFM should be fine (puller) , if it does'nt cool the motor i would be looking elswhere for a potential cooling problem.

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

That is the one i have on mine , no problems.

They do draw a fair bit of current , got mine wired via a relay.

I have a 31x20 alum. rad. on a mild 446 build. (73 Charger)  With stock flex fan car would get warm 220-230 in traffic jam on 90 deg. day. Installed two 14 inch permacool hi performance fans. Each pulls 2900 cfm. 10 amp draw each. Fans must be staggered hi/low to fit. Come on when rad. gets above 170 deg. Removed stock fan.
So far temp stays 190 or less.
I ran an extra wire inside for a blue light so I know when they are running. If youl the ignition in acc. they will run for about 5 mins. after shutdown cooling rad., header heat out.
