As a somewhat related and dissapointing aside to the other oil related threads of late I have to add this.  My father was over for a bit this afternoon with a sad story.  He recently bought a new truck and opted for a gas V10 after several years of diesels.  Anyway, it turns out he had a case of the old Rotella and he took it to the fuel outlet where he buys that stuff (farmers often get their petroleum products from bulk fuel retailers) and they told him they couldn't take it back (he wanted to trade it for a "gasoline" oil) because it was no longer legal to sell it but they agreed to take it off his hands and dump in the used oil disposal tank for free.  Some deal huh?  :rotz:

That was a bad idea. He just got rid of a case of the best oil left out there. I run Rotella (and the STP additive) in my NEON. He would have been better off using the Rotella in the V10 rather than the liquid sandpaper they call gasoline oil now...

The rotella would have worked fine in in gas engine.
